BELADIN: Citizens of the country should emulate the people in Dublin, where practically everyone has the highest level of education.

Beting Maro assemblyman Razaili Gapor said they are rapidly mastering science and technology so that they are able to produce skilled workers the world needs.

As a developing country, Malaysia does not have a sufficient number of skilled workers, he said.

“In this regard, youngsters should learn as much as they can since knowledge is truly valuable.

“Sarawak as a developing region needs a lot of skilled manpower especially in the exploration of new sectors.

“Therefore, we hope the new generation will seize the opportunity to jointly develop this country and state,” he said at the Kenyalang Love of the Earth Programme themed ‘From Community to Community’ here, recently.

Earlier, he and his wife, Dr Aisyah Rohani Nahar greeted members of the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) Success Corps who were running the programme in Kampung Beladin.
