SARATOK: A total of 12 educational institutions here yesterday participated in Sarawak Education Expo.

Held in Sri Krian community hall, the event was declared open by Krian assemblyman Friday Belik.

One of several goals of this programme was to convey the most recent information on educational opportunities and sponsorship available in Sarawak, particularly in institutions managed by the state government.

The programme also offered options for SPM and STPM school-leavers to continue their studies, as well as counselling services to students to help them register for the chosen institution.

Organised by the Sarawak Foundation (Yayasan Sarawak) the event was held simultaneously throughout the state and was officiated at by the Premier of Sarawak, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg in Kuching on the same day.

Another expo in the Betong division was held at Kabong District Office and was graced by Kabong assemblyman Mohd Chee Kadir.
