SARATOK: Two associations of Kampung Gerigat here have received donations for organising their activities from Datuk Ali Biju.
A total of RM15,000 were donated to the Gerigat Fishermen’s Association as well as RM5,000 for the Gerigat Women’s Association.
The Saratok MP handed over the contributions during a dialogue session (Sesi Sembang Santai) with members of the associations here yesterday.
“This relaxed meeting was held to provide a platform for the associations to share their views or problems with the association.
“(This is important) as Kampung Gerigat plays an important key as a centre for fisheries activities in Kabong,” he said in his Facebook post.
In addition, as much as RM50, 000 will also be allocated to upgrade the Gerigat PNK homestay.
