Farmers’ Organisation calls on CM

KUCHING: A delegation from the Sarawak State Farmers’ Organisation paid a courtesy call on Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg at his office at Wisma Bapa Malaysia, Petra Jaya here on Tuesday (Aug 18).

The delegation was led by Assistant Minister of Modernisation of Agriculture, Native Land and Regional Development, Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Ismail, who is also the chairman of the State Farmers’ Organisation.

During the meeting, a discussion was held on the construction of a new farmers’ organisation building using an allocation of RM20 million provided by the state government.

Shortly after, the chief minister also received a courtesy call from the Electoral Reform Committee (ERC) chairman Tan Sri Datuk Seri Panglima Abdul Rashid Abdul Rahman to discuss the latest report on the improvement of the electoral system in Malaysia and several other related matters.

Also present was ERC chief executive Amerul Muner Mohammad.
