MIRI: An accident occurred in Bandar Baru Permyjaya today, resulting in the loss of a male pillion rider’s life. The victim, in his 50’s, had just received dialysis treatment at the Malaysia Red Crescent (MRC) Miri Chapter’s dialysis centre before the incident took place.
The fatal crash happened around 12 pm yesterday when the victim was riding pillion on a motorcycle with his 19-year-old son. The impact of the collision with a car claimed the father’s life on the spot.
During the accident, the son sustained minor injuries on his body, but they were not life-threatening. The collision occurred as both vehicles were heading towards the Senadin area from Tudan.
Miri OCPDA ACP Alexson Naga Chabu confirmed the incident, stating that they are awaiting the report from the Miri Traffic police for further investigation.
