Fire damages uninhabited house in Mukah

MUKAH: A fire broke out in the evening, causing partial damage to an uninhabited house in Jalan Haji Mohd Fauzi here on Tuesday (Aug 15).
According to a spokesman from the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), firefighters were swiftly dispatched to the location following an emergency call at about 7.10pm.
Upon arrival, the fire was still in progress, and the firefighters promptly initiated the extinguishing process.
“The team successfully salvaged the property, with the fire resulting in only 50 per cent damage.
“Fortunately, no injuries or fatalities were reported, given that the house was unoccupied at the time of the incident.”
Once the authorities confirmed the safety of the situation, the operation concluded at around 8.20pm.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation
