Fire razes house in Lorong Lapangan Terbang

KUCHING: A house caught fire at The Lease Lorong Lapangan Terbang around 9.11am today (August 12).
 
According to a statement from the state Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), firemen from the Batu Lintang and Tabuan Jaya stations were promptly despatched to the scene after receiving a distress call.
 
Upon arrival, they found that the fire had spread to cover 18 per cent of the two-storey semi-detached house, with the children’s playroom completely consumed by the flames.
 
The team managed to control the fire by 9.34am.
 
The incident impacted five occupants, all of whom are confirmed safe.
