MIRI: A family of five was rendered homeless after their house at Kpg Satap, Bekenu near here was destroyed in a fire on Sunday evening.
Miri Fire and Rescue Department chief Supt Law Poh Kiong said fortunately no injuries or casualties were reported in the incident.
“Following a distress call received at 7.52pm about the fire, eight firefighters in two vehicles from Miri fire station led by Zulbada Alior were dispatched to the scene about 47 kms from the city,” Law added.
The actual cause of the fire is not immediately known as investigation is underway.
