SRI AMAN: Thirty-two children and four teachers from Tadika Hikmah Kampung Muhibbah here participated in a fire safety talk organised by the Sri Aman Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) today.

The programme aimed to provide exposure to children on the importance of fire prevention was led by Sri Aman Bomba officer PBK II Jilin Itar, and assisted by PB Matthew Owen and PBB Charles Shigarth Andrew,

It was also carried out to examine the level of preparedness of the teachers in the event of a fire at the kindergarten.

The children and teachers were briefed on “good and bad fire”, and “stop, drop and roll, plan your escape, and get out and stay out”.

Teachers were also given the opportunity to learn the techniques of using the fire extinguisher correctly.
