KUCHING: A firefighter who experienced breathing problems while dousing a house fire had to be sent to hospital here.
He was among two teams despatched from the Petra Jaya and Batu Lintang stations after the two-storey terrace house at Taman Mawar in Kampung Gita caught fire this afternoon.
The operation commander reported that the house suffered 80 per cent damage in the fire.
No casualty was reported except for the fireman who experienced breathing difficulty during the operation and had to be sent to the Sarawak General Hospital.
