MIRI: Ten  firemen from Miri fire station  rushed to Jalan Sungai Rait-Tukau late yesterday evening to help extricate crash victims.

Fortunately, no one was killed in the incident which involved three vehicles.

According to Miri fire zone 6 chief Supt Law Poh Kiong, his men immediately hurried to the scene in response to an alert on the crash at 5pm.

One of the vehicles, a Proton Iswara, was badly mangled.

“Firemen were using hydraulic Rescue Cutters to help remove a victim inside the Proton Iswara,” said Law.

The rescue operation ended at 5.20pm.
