First phase of parks upgrading works completed

SIBU: The first phase of four parks upgrading projects in Pelawan constituency which commenced in February this year, has been completed.

Pelawan assemblyman Michael Tiang Ming Tee took to his Facebook page to share this positive news with the public.

“We have finally completed the first phase (of upgrading) works for four parks in Pelawan at Jalan Cherry, Jalan Lim Han Swee, Jalan Kwong Ann and Jalan Wawasan,” he said.

The Deputy Minister for Public Health, Housing and Local Government said there are a few key aspects he emphasised during the first phase of the upgrading project

“This is only phase one where I emphasised to have good irrigation for the green lawn and to get all the basic amenities right,” he said.

Tiang reassured the public that he remains committed to enhancing these parks further by adding other important features in the subsequent phases of the project.

The upgrading work for the four parks was carried out under the Rural Transformation Project (RTP).

The total cost for the first phase of Jalan Cherry park upgrading work is RM200,000, while for Jalan Kwong Ann (RM300,000), Jalan Wawasan (RM250,000) and Jalan Lim Han Swee (RM200,000).
