PUSA: Local residents, who were affected by the recent floods, received donations today in the form of food baskets and wheelchairs.

According to a news report from the Sarawak Public Communication Unit (UKAS), present to hand over the donations at Kampung Maludam multipurpose hall was Lingga assemblywoman Dayang Noorazah Awang Sohor.

The residents were represented by their respective Ketua Kaum (community leaders).

The recent flood has affected the daily lives of the communities, including the longhouses in Maludam.

Therefore, through the donation, Dayang Noorazah hoped that it could ease some of the burden faced by the victims who have been stranded in the longhouse.

She also expressed her appreciation to the Malaysian Civil Defence Force, Maludam Health Clinic, community leaders, private and government agencies, as well as local residents, for cooperating with the (Lingga) service centre to share and provide information regarding floods in the constituency.
