MIRI: The ‘Mega Pesta Orang Kampung 2023’, a big local food festival featuring over 160 local vendors, is set for the first week of this November.

Deputy Minister for Tourism, Creative Industry, and Performing Arts, Datuk Sebastian Ting Chiew Yew, said the festival aims to showcase and promote local delicacies.

“I believe this festival will give our local food scene a big boost,” he said during the launch of the ‘Mega Pesta Orang Kampung 2023’ logo at Miri Marina today.

He further said, “This event is part of our ministry’s goal to boost tourism. Choosing Miri as the host is perfect because we have so many tasty local foods that can highlight what Miri has to offer.”

The festival will take place at the Boulevard car park at Jalan Pujut-Miri here from November 1 to 5.
