Four injured in 4WD vehicle crash on Jalan Bintulu-Miri

The aftermath of the 4WD vehicle that crashed at Mile 25 Jalan Bintulu- Miri yesterday.

BINTULU: A 4WD vehicle carrying a 39-year-old woman and three children met with a collision at Mile 25 on Jalan Bintulu-Miri yesterday (Oct 6).

The accident resulted in critical injuries for both the 39-year-old woman and a 12-year-old boy, while the two other children, aged three and seven, sustained minor injuries.

The State Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Operations Centre said firefighters from the Bintulu fire station rushed to the scene following an emergency call regarding the accident at 4.23pm

Upon arrival, they found that passersby had already rescued the three children from the vehicle, but the driver remained trapped in her seat.

Using specialised rescue equipment, the firefighters extricated the driver from the vehicle and handed her over to the waiting paramedics at the scene.
