LUNDU: Four teenagers were injured after their motorcycles crashed into an electricity pole along Jalan Sungai Batu here, last night (Apr 8).
The accident happened around 11.30 pm, resulting in the collapse of the electricity pole and a road blockage.
A spokesman for the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said that firefighters from Lundu station were dispatched to the scene following a distress call.
Upon arrival, the emergency medical rescue services (EMRS) team examined two of the injured teenagers and took them to Lundu Hospital in their ambulance.
One of the victims was taken to the hospital in a private vehicle, and another was transported via the hospital’s ambulance.
Three of the victims are 15-year-old boys and the other 17. The extent of their injuries was not known.
