KUCHING: Sacred Heart Church received RM110,000 from Kota Sentosa assemblyman Wilfred Yap to repair the church’s parking and fix the roof over its parish hall yesterday (Dec 11).
When approached by reporters after the mock cheque presentation ceremony, Yap said that the fund came from his allocation for the Kota Sentosa constituency.
“Meanwhile, the RM10,000 from the total amount is for the church committee to carry out its Christmas activities and so on,” he explained.
The church also received RM10,000 from Deputy Premier Datuk Seri Dr Sim Kui Hian for its activities.
Dr Sim was represented at the same event by political secretary in the Premier’s Office, Tan Kai.
