BINTULU: Schools facing problems regarding infrastructure facilities have been urged to contact their local representative’s service centre.

Tanjung Datu assemblyman Johnny Pang Leong Ming said he will help improve the facilities for a better teaching and learning environment.

He gave the assurance after inspecting and handing over a completed Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) to SJK Chung Hua 2 here yesterday (Feb 8).

“I was contacted by the school management last year expressing their concern over the uneven parking lot, which often resulted in water retention and muddy grounds after heavy rain.

“On August 8, 2022, the project focused on resurfacing the parking lot and was completed within three months,” he was quoted as saying in a news report by the Sarawak Public Communications Unit (UKAS).

Pang said an allocation was handed over to SJK Chung Hua 2 for repair works.

He said his service centre will also assist in resolving other problems, such as the issue of weeds and grass in the school grounds, which affect cleanliness.
