KOTA SAMARAHAN: Visitors stood in line as early as 9.30 am at the Kota Samarahan Civic Centre to attend the Kota Samarahan Parliamentary Hari Raya Aidilfitri Open House today.

Kota Samarahan MP Datuk Rubiah Wang said  two dining halls were opened to ensure that  the standard operating procedures (SOPs) were adhered to curb the spread of COVID-19.

According to her, this year’s open house received a warm response from the local community taking into account that it had to be reorganised due to the restrictions in the past two years because of COVID-19.

“The Samarahan Parliament Open House was supposed to open from 10 am to 2 pm, but we opened at 9.30 am for the local community because there were so many people there.”

“Of course, the goal of the ceremony is to strengthen unity and close ties while also celebrating Aidilfitri at the parliamentary level,” she said when met by reporters.
