The Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) remains unwavering in its commitment to the ‘Sarawak First’ principle, even in light of the establishment of the Unity Government at the federal level.
Satok assemblyman Datuk Ibrahim Baki reiterated the party’s stance, highlighting the numerous achievements made in advocating for Sarawak’s rights.
“Through our steadfastness, we have successfully secured several victories, such as the review of Special Grants distribution to Sarawak and Sabah under Article 112D of the Federal Constitution, the delegation of authority to approve development projects up to RM50 million, and most recently, the federal government’s approval for Sarawak to establish its own airline,” said Ibrahim during his speech at the 19th State Legislative Assembly (DUN) sitting today.
He further expressed that these accomplishments should be a source of pride for the people of Sarawak, illustrating their unwavering support and endorsement of GPS in safeguarding the state’s interests and rights.
Addressing GPS’s critics, he asserted that the party’s stance had been proven correct all along.
“We have remained steadfast in our mission – our objectives and struggles remain unchanged. We are committed to Sarawak. Sarawak First!”
He criticised detractors who continually complain, suggesting that they have exhausted their arguments and, in their quest for relevance, resort to trivial matters either knowingly or unknowingly.
