KUCHING: The formation of GPS is a new dawn for Sarawak to continue the fight to regain Sarawak’s eroded rights as Sarawakians.

Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Tanjung Datu Youth chief Azizul Annuar Adenan said that finally Sarawak is governing its own state without having to agree or listen to the federal government.

“Only Sarawakians know what they want and will protect Sarawak with all their hearts and souls,” he told New Sarawak Tribune.

Azizul, the youngest son of the late Pehin Sri Adenan Satem, the predecessor of the current Chief Minister, said his father was concerned over rights that had been eroded and that the struggle to regain these must involve the people.

Azizul said he therefore hoped that the people would understand the struggle so that they could appreciate why the state leaders now are zooming in on the issue.

“I hope GPS will continue to reach out to more Sarawakians to make them realise we are the only Sarawak-based party with ‘anak’ (children) Sarawak all behind us.

“Only Sarawakians can take care of Sarawakians and know what we want,” he pointed out.
