Guard on peace bond for rampage

KUCHING: A security guard was placed on a peace bond for six months with a surety of RM500 from his mother here today for going on a rampage at a petrol station last month.

Naszrulnaim, 32, pleaded guilty to the charge under Section 67 of the Criminal Procedure Code which was read before Magistrate Zaiton Anuar.

He allegedly committed the offence at a petrol station in Jalan Batu Lintang at around 11.21am on Aug 29.

According to the facts of the case, Naszrulnaim who entered the petrol station in a hallucinatory state was angry that he was not paid attention to by the petrol station supervisor and his friend when he was talking about God.

Naszrulnaim began scattering items on the counter and when the supervisor tried to calm him down, he choked and punched him instead.

But the supervisor managed to bring him out of the premises and his friend alerted the police.

The prosecution of the case was handled by Inspector Merylene Lindan Andrew Mang while Naszrulnaim was not represented by a lawyer.
