KUCHING: Hope Place recently extended assistance to a five-year-old toddler, Mohammad Al-Fatih Mohammad Nazri, who is grappling with salmonella sepsis.

In a statement, Fatih is currently under medical supervision. His condition remains a concern to the doctors, who are yet to determine the most effective treatment plan.

Fatih, his parents, and his sister reside in Kpg Pulo Ulu Petra Jaya.

“His mother, Atikah, 28, said Fatih relies on tube feeding and is unable to move or walk. Additionally, he suffers from frequent seizures, almost daily,” the statement said.

Further information revealed that Fatih contracted the disease at the age of four, leading to significant physical decline. Atikah was not sure about the disease’s origin but speculated it might be linked to his preference for half-boiled eggs.

“However, medical reports suggest that contaminated water supply could be a cause,” it added.

With no stable income, the family rely on a modest monthly financial aid of RM150 from social welfare. The grandparents also contribute, albeit with a limited pension.
