KUCHING: Hornbill Networks Consortium Sdn Bhd, a forward-thinking housing development company known for its commitment to innovation and sustainability, has been honoured with the prestigious Entrepreneurship & Startup Award at the Sarawak Digital Economy Awards 2023. 

The award was presented by the Premier of Sarawak, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg during the Gala Dinner for the World Congress on Innovation & Technology (WCIT) and the International Digital Economy Conference Sarawak (IDECS) 2023, held at the Pullman Hotel here on October 5.

“The Entrepreneurship & Startup Award category at the Sarawak Digital Economy Awards celebrates exceptional growth and innovation achieved by entrepreneurs and startups in addressing critical challenges through inventive digital solutions,” said Hornbill Networks Consortium Sdn Bhd in a statement yesterday. 

The consortium’s win underscores its dedication to revolutionising the housing industry and contributing to sustainable housing development in the region, particularly through its Samariang Avenue project.

Founded in 2018, the Sarawak Digital Economy Awards (DEA) is a prestigious programme in the state aimed at recognising outstanding contributions in the digital economy.

DEA2023, organised by the Sarawak Multimedia Authority and the Sarawak government, received 139 entries, with 24 finalists, including Hornbill Networks Consortium Sdn Bhd, standing as torchbearers in redefining digital standards.

Hornbill Networks Consortium Sdn Bhd’s groundbreaking Samariang Avenue housing development project exemplifies its commitment to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles in line with Sarawak’s sustainability goals. 

This innovative housing development in Petra Jaya integrates smart technology, sustainable living, and a green environment. This collaboration aims to address potential future cement supply shortages through innovative solutions.
