KUCHING: It was a memorable evening for 30 underprivileged individuals when they were treated to a sumptuous Ramadan buffet at Imperial Garden Restaurant, Imperial Hotel here.

The fast-breaking occasion last night (Mar 27) was part of the hotel’s yearly corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme and to spread Ramadan joy to the needy.

The 30 individuals from six families are among 274 hardcore poor families in the city who are under the care of Hope Place Kuching.

Hope Place founder Kevin Wan thanked the hotel for inviting the Muslim families.

“This is the first time the families here tonight have the opportunity to break fast breaking at the hotel’s restaurant.

“We try to offer a chance to families to partake in a wonderful dinner,” he said.

Meanwhile, after the fast breaking, Imperial Hotel Kuching general manager Patrick Kuek presented ‘Duit Raya’ to the families.

The Hotel’s Social and Recreation Club (SRC) also handed over goodie bags containing essential items to each family.
