House owner loses RM16,000

MIRI: Cash and valuables worth a total value of RM16,000 were stolen from a house in Desa Indah 3 Permyjaya this afternoon.

According to a police source, the burglary was discovered by the owner of the house, a contractor in his 30’s, around 12pm after he returned from his workplace.

He immediately lodged a police report over the incident.

The complainant suspected something was amiss when he found the main door of his house ajar when he returned home.

Burglars had ransacked the house as they looked for valuables.
