KUCHING: i-CATS University College organised a corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme to promote the institution to the local community in Selanjan, Lachau.
The event at Sekolah Kebangsaan Selanjan recently was aimed at educating local students and sharing knowledge on science and technology.
The programme started with motivational talks for parents by i-CATS lecturers Prof Dr. Philip Anding and Dr. Siri Zaliha Reduan who motivated and gave important perspectives on education to parents and students.
Besides that, the programme also held English and Mathematic workshops to enhance the students’ knowledge on the respective subjects.
Among the activities held to promote i-CATS to the local community was a sharing session by students and lecturers on the programmes offered by the university college.
Around 68 students from SK Selanjan and 50 representatives from the Parents and Teachers Association comprising 10 schools in the area attended the event.
