Increased distribution of bubur lambuk nationwide

A total of 5,000 bubur lambuk distributed in Sibu.

SIBU: A total of 600,000 bubur lambuk have been distributed to the public this year nationwide during the Gerak Rahmah ‘Jom Masak Bubur Lambuk’ programme, said Datuk Seri Aaron Ago Dagang.

The National Unity Minister said the figure has risen from 400,000 bubur lambuk distributed last year and 4,000 Neighbourhood Watch Areas (KRT).

“Last year, we distributed 400,000 bubur lambuk nationwide. This year, 600,000 across the country. Here (Sibu), already 5,000,” he said.

He said this when met by reporters after distributing ‘bubur lambuk’ in conjunction with the programme at Dataran Tuanku Bujang Phase 1 here yesterday (Mar 23).

The Kanowit MP also said that out of 600,000, a total of 12,000 bubur lambuk was distributed across Sarawak for Gerak Rahmah ‘Jom Masak Bubur Lambuk’ programme.

“The programme was implemented to enhance social ties within the multiracial and multi-religion community,” he added.

Bakul Rahmah aid was also distributed throughout the programme.

Also present were Deputy Minister for Education, Innovation and Talent Development Datuk Dr Annuar Rapaee, Ngemah Assemblyman Anyi Jana and others.
