KUCHING: The practice of being charitable during the month of Ramadan is continued by the State Information Department (Japen) through its ‘Ramadan On Wheels’ programme.

The programme, organised in collaboration with the Islamic Staff Welfare Agency (BKKI), provided 200 packages of ‘Bubur Pedas’ and dates.

A symbolic handover was performed by State Information Department director Swady Guliling at the Sarawak Japen headquarters here yesterday.

The purpose of the programme was to share food with frontliners facing the Covid-19 pandemic and the public.

Subsequently, the distribution of ‘Bubur Pedas’ continued at several locations around the Kuching area, namely Jalan Masjid Health Clinic, Gita Police Station, Tanah Puteh Health Clinic and Central Police Station.
