MIRI: Integrity in the workplace is a crucial value that will help the Sarawak Forest Department prosper in future.
In stating this, Deputy Minister for Urban Planning Land Administration and Environment Datuk Len Talif Salleh said it would make the staff much more comfortable at work, and much more easier for them to stay positive and upbeat even when things get difficult.
He was speaking at the Sarawak Forest Department’s Integrity Day here on Wednesday.
More than 200 department staff from across the state were at the event which was also attended by Sarawak Forest Department director Datu Hamden Mohammad.
“Building a culture of integrity in the workplace will help the department to self -regulate as it will give you an advantage to continue to grow… with the existing technology and the facilities given to you by the state government it is up to you now…to ensure forest sustainability,” he added.
Len has also emphasised the importance of curbing complacency in their work routines.
