It’s going to be a wet Valentine’s Day

KUCHING: Have your umbrella ready as it is going to be a rainy Valentine’s Day this Tuesday.

According to the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia), several areas in Sarawak will be experiencing continuous rain starting today (Feb 12) until Wednesday (Feb 15).

The weather department also issued a warning of continuous rain (alert) which is forecast to affect several areas in the state.

It said the areas affected will be Kapit (Kapit, Bukit Mabong and Belaga), Bintulu, Miri and Limbang divisions.

Furthermore, continuous rain at the alert level is also expected to occur in Sabah from Wednesday (Feb 15) to Friday (Feb 17).

The areas involve Tawau (Lahad Datu), Sandakan (Telupid, Kinabatangan, Beluran and Sandakan) and Kudat.

Meanwhile, the public is urged to monitor the weather condition through MetMalaysia official website at https://www.met.gov.my/en/, the myCuaca mobile application or the department’s official social media pages.
