SIBU: Junior Chamber International (JCI) Mandarin Sibu, in collaboration with JCI Seduan, brought happiness to the lives of 50 children at the Juma’ani Tuanku Haji Bujang Welfare Complex (KKJTHB) in Sibu, formerly known as Peryatim Sibu, today (Sept 16).

The programme was supported by Sibu Boardgames Hobby Club, ELITE Optometry Vision Care Group, and Dream Workshop Sibu.

Ho speaks to reporters.

“We donated goods worth RM8,000 to the welfare centre and also organised a variety of activities to engage with the children,” JCI Mandarin President Boston Ho told reporters today (Sept 16).

He said these activities included health screenings, vision checks, board games, and balloon handicrafts.

“This is part of our community engagement initiative. We didn’t just deliver the goods; we felt it was important to offer additional services, such as health screenings and spending time playing with the children, as JCI is a youth organisation.

“Other associations also host similar events, which is commendable. So, we believed in going the extra mile to interact with the children,” he added.
