KUCHING: The newly-elected leadership of Junior Chamber International (JCI) Padawan chapter in Sarawak aims to scale greater heights with its focus on sustainability, systematic and synergy, or the ‘3S’.
Vincent Tang, who was elected chapter president for 2023, stated that his presidential theme, ‘Leap Ahead’, is aligned with this objective.
“In JCI, we strongly adhere to our JCI creed, vision and mission to ensure the sustainability of our chapter.
“Moreover, we strongly believe the key to a successful organisation is to take care of the interest of our members within.
“With the right collaboration and support, we believe the organisation can empower more young active citizens to create a positive change,” Tang said in a statement Monday (Feb 27) in conjunction with JCI Padawan’s seventh installation and awards ceremony here on Feb 25.
The ceremony was witnessed by guest-of-honour, Kota Sentosa assemblyman Wilfred Yap, who commended JCI’s long history of excellence in promoting community service, leadership development, business development and personal growth.
“As we move forward into this new year, let us remember that the work we do is not just about achieving personal success, but about creating positive change in the world around us,” said Yap.
“Let us continue to strive for excellence in all that we do and to inspire others to join us in our mission.”
Among those present were JCI Malaysia national president Matt Ngai, outgoing JCI Padawan president cum 2023 JCI Malaysia National vice president Kristaine Alexander, national executive vice-president cum JCI Area Sarawak chairman Johnny Bong, event’s organising chairman Jackie Ling, JCI Padawan’s past presidents Yap Kuoh Haw, William Bong, Kiing Sie Ying and Rachael Justin.
