Jepak by-election: Sunny start, afternoon thunderstorms expected

BINTULU: The weather forecast for tomorrow’s polling day (Nov 4) in the Jepak by-election predicts a range of conditions.

The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) forecasts sunny weather during the morning hours. However, thunderstorms are expected to develop in some areas by afternoon, with rainy conditions forecasted for certain areas at night.

Polling stations will be open from 7.30 am to 5.30 pm, offering 45 channels across 14 locations for voters to cast their ballots.

The Jepak by-election sees a three-cornered fight between Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) represented by Iskandar Turkee, Parti Bumi Kenyalang (PBK) with Stevenson Joseph Sumbang, and Parti Aspirasi Rakyat Sarawak (ASPIRASI) by Chieng Lea Phing.

The constituency has a total of 22,804 registered voters, including 22,761 ordinary voters and 43 police personnel.
