KUCHING: An unemployed man was sentenced to six months in prison by the Magistrate’s Court for intentionally causing injury to his older sister.

Mohd Adam, 32, pleaded guilty before Magistrate Mason Jaro Lenya Barayan to a charge framed under Section 323 of the Penal Code read together with Section 326A of the Penal Code, which carries a prison sentence of up to one year or a fine of up to RM2,000 or both.

He committed the offence to his 39-year-old sister at their residence in Jalan Astana, Petra Jaya, at about 2.45 pm on July 24.
