KUCHING: The Kampung Selabat Community House (Rumah Komuniti Kampung Selabat) project, constructed under the Demak Laut constituency Rural Transformation Programme (RTP), is ready.
Demak Laut assemblyman Dr Hazland Abang Hipni said the RM100,000 community house, could be used by all non-governmental organisations (NGOs).
“It can be used by all village associations to conduct administrative matters, meetings, activities and services, as well as an information centre.
“What is important is that this office will improve the quality of management at the village level for the wellbeing and prosperity of the community,” he said when met at the handover ceremony of Kampung Selabat Community House recently.
Hazland said all RTP projects under his constituency were currently being implemented in several villages as planned.
“Some have already been completed while others are still under construction.
“It cannot be denied that Covid-19 has disrupted the implementation of the projects,” he said.
