MIRI: Entrepreneurs in the B40 and informal business groups should take advantage of the government’s various forms of assistance to help them thrive in their businesses and supplement their income, said Senadin assemblyman Datuk Lee Kim Shin.

”Entrepreneurs are also encouraged to adopt and utilise social media platforms as a means of expanding their business exposure,” said Lim, who is also Transport Minister.

He said this during his visit to the training centre for selected participants in the Micro Connector Programme organised by SME Corp Malaysia (SME Corp) on Friday (Oct 1).

During the event, he took the time to offer words of encouragement and motivation to entrepreneurs from the B40 group, including single mothers, youth, and people with disabilities (OKU).

They also received assistance in the form of equipment to help them start a business, which was co-funded by SME Corp, an agency under the Ministry of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Malaysia (Medac).
