KUCHING: The Land Custody and Development Authority (LCDA) Tower is the winner of the ‘Energy Efficiency Building Awards, New and Existing Building’ at the Asean Energy Awards 2020 on Nov 19.

The award ceremony was done virtually via Zoom and was hosted by Asean Centre for Energy (ACE) in Vietnam.

Receiving the awards were the chairman of LCDA Holdings Sdn Bhd, Tan Sri Datuk Amar Dr Abdul Aziz Datuk Husain, and general manager of LCDA, Monaliza Zaidel.

LCDA Tower represented Malaysia in the Asean Energy Awards 2020, after winning two awards at the National Energy Awards (NEA) this year in the Energy Efficient Designed Building (winner) and Green Building — Large (runner-up) categories.

“This achievement validates LCDA’s capabilities in implementing sustainable practises, especially in urban renewal and property development projects.

“The recognition will encourage LCDA to further expand the benefits of efficient energy management in its future projects,” the statement said.
