KUCHING: About 40 less fortunate youths received aid from Demak Laut Konvoi Prihatin Belia.

According to Demak Laut assemblyman Dr Hazland Abang Hipni, the convoy this year gave out food baskets consisting of basic necessities to those in need in his constituency.

He hope the assistance will help ease the burden of the recipients.

The convoy this year was led by youth head Sebli Morsidi and the programme was jointly organised with Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Demak Laut Youth, Demak Laut Saberkas branch and Demak Laut 4×4 Club.

The convoy started as early as 8 am and made their stop at Kampung Tanjung Bako, Kampung Muhibah and Kampung Pinggan Jaya. The team members were welcomed by representatives of the youth leaders of the three villages.

They also went over to Kampung Tabuan Melayu to hand over the aid to the recipients there and later proceeded to Pengkalan Balang and handed over the assistance to the recipients from Tanjung Embang.
