Lions Club Batu Niah and partners extend support to POKUFM

MIRI: The Lions Club Batu Niah in collaboration with Miri FM, Shun Shen Lee Trading (Miri) Sdn Bhd, Miri FM Social Club and Bintang Megamall has contributed essential items to members of the Miri Association of Persons with Physical Disabilities (POKUFM).

The donation comprised 30 packets each of rice, sugar and instant noodles, along with biscuits, as well as 50 sets of face masks and hand sanitizers.

On hand presenting these essentials was Lions Club of Batu Niah president Andy Jong Wan Joon.

In addition, Deputy Minister of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts I Datuk Sebastian Ting Chew Yew also donated 50 sets of face masks, hand sanitizers and wet tissues.

Meanwhile, POKUFM secretary Abdul Aziz when met after the donation presentation said, they are open to collaborating with other organisations to organise events for its members.

The association currently boasts a total of 40 registered members comprising 24 men and 4 women.
