SIBU: The Lions Club of Sibu Pahlawan recently held its first board meeting of the year at a local restaurant.
Kong Tze Ling, the newly appointed president who started his term on July 1, chaired the meeting.
During the meeting, they also threw a birthday party for members who were born in July.
After the meeting, Kong prepared cakes to celebrate the birthdays of the members.
The club’s press release mentioned that the members celebrating their birthdays this month are Dennis Liew, Andrew Wong, Benjamin Tian, Dr. David Ling Sien Ngan, and Ting Siew Hee.
In addition to the club members, former Governor of Lions Clubs International District 308 A2, Datuk Betty Wong Yieng, and the Region 2 chairperson of Lions Clubs International District 308 A2, Dixon Chiu, were also present to join in the celebration.
