Local man sustains knee injury in two-vehicle collision

MIRI: A two-vehicle collision occurred along Jalan Almera Airport yesterday (Apr 22), resulting in a local man sustaining injuries to his right knee.

A spokesman for the Civil Defence Force (APM) Miri said they were alerted to the accident at around 5.10pm and deployed a four-member team, as well as paramedics, to the scene.

Upon arrival, the team found the victim still in his car, suffering from an open wound on his right knee.

“According to the 37-year-old victim, he had lost control of his car while driving and collided head-on with an oncoming pickup truck,” the spokesman said.

First aid was administered to the victim at the scene before he was taken to Miri Hospital for immediate treatment.

The team completed the operation around 5.40 pm and returned to their station.
