BETONG: Water supply in areas near Saratok and Kabong here was disrupted since Sunday. The water main at Sebubu, Roban which ruptured caused the disruption which continued till Monday.
The Rural Water Supply Department (JBALB) Betong identified that there are dual ruptures on the main pipes and confirmed that it was due to strong soil movement.
“Repair work was completed today. Water supply in the high areas and most villages will take some time to gradually return to normal.
To fulfil the needs of the community, JBALB Betong had also delivered relief water supply to all the affected areas.
The JBALB regrets the inconvenience caused and expressed its appreciation for the people’s patience and tolerance during the entire restoration period.
