KUCHING: A man in his 40’s cheated death after the car he was driving plunged into a ravine at Mile 9 Kuching-Serian Road early yesterday.
It is understood that the car went out of control before plunging into the 10-metre-deep ravine.
Batu Lintang Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) dispatched nine personnel in a fire engine and an
EMRS vehicle to the scene after receiving a distress call at 2.53am.
They arrived at the scene, labout 13 kilometres from the fire station, at 3.09am.
The trapped victim was extricated by rescuers shortly after and was rushed to the Sarawak General Hospital for further treatment.
