MIRI: A 32-year-old man died after sustaining severe head and chest injuries on Monday night following a motorcycle crash at Jalan Miri-Airport.
Miri OCPD ACP Alexson Naga Chabu today confirmed receiving a report on the fatal crash incident on Monday at around 7.37 pm.
“Preliminary investigation found that upon approaching the Taman Tunku traffic light, the victim’s motorcycle had skidded and rammed the road shoulder while making a U-turn heading towards the city centre before it hit an electric pole,” he said.
The rider died on the spot at the scene and the case is being probed under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
