KAPIT: Deputy Chief Minister Tan Sri Datuk Amar Dr James Jemut Masing has donated food and beverages to frontliners here tasked with enforcing the movement control order (MCO).

The items were distributed to Kapit police, Song police, Unit Vector Control Kapit Health Department, Kapit Hospital and Kapit District Council.

With no air connectivity and express boat services due to the MCO, Masing’s administrative officer Robert Liman drove his four-wheel drive vehicle all the way from Kuching to Kapit to make the delivery.

Kapit Division assistant health officer Dr Valerie received the items on behalf of Kapit Health Department.

She thanked Masing, Sarawak Dayak National Union Youth Wing and all parties concerned for their support.

Kapit Health Department has set up counters at various entry points to check the temperatures of people coming to Kapit.

The checkpoints are at the Kapit Express Terminal and in front of Balai Bomba Song along Jalan Kapit-Kanowit.
