MIRI: Petroliam Nasional Berhad (Petronas) held a gathering with the media practitioners here as a gesture of appreciation on Tuesday night.
Forty local media practitioners attended the gathering, which was held to coincide with the Chinese New Year celebration.
Also in attendance was the newly appointed Head of Media Communications Petronas, Jalina Joheng. She succeeded Azman Ibrahim who retired since January this year.
“We are grateful for your unwavering support to convey and communicate our news and stories to our various stakeholders, especially in Sarawak, throughout Malaysia as well as overseas,” she said.
She praised the media for the support towards Petronas all these years.
“What is more important, the coverage was mostly fair and positive and highly informed as well as informative. So, ladies and gentlemen, thank you very much for the support that has been given,” she stated.
Also present were general manager of Production Gas- SKA/Upstream, Isrom Udau; general manager of Production Oil – SKA/Upstream Bolhi Maskawi; general manager of Petroleum Engineering Miri – SKA/Upstream, Norhana Harun; manager of Administration – SKA/Upstream, Suryani Dohan and the Northern Sarawak Journalists Association president, Chai Choon Chin.
