SIBU: The Federal Ministry for Women, Family, and Community Development (KPWKM) ministry hopes for more allocation of funds in the Budget 2023.

Its minister Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri said the ministry really needed a bigger allocation, especially in its efforts to create more initiatives such as establishing a department for children.

“We also need more funds to empower those who work under the ministry as we want to add more human resources. This will enable us to operate more efficiently in the department later,” she said.

She said this when met by reporters during Program Keusahawanan Wanita Bangkit@ KPWKM at Dewan Lakis, Masjid An-Nur here, yesterday (Jan 26).

Previously, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has assured that Budget 2023 which will be presented again on Feb 24, will meet the needs of every strata of people and community groups.

Anwar, who is also Finance Minister, said the contents of Budget 2023 are still being fine-tuned, but the government under his administration will not sideline any party.
