KUCHING: The Ministry of Works is committed to assisting the Education Ministry (MoE), said Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi.

The Works Minister applauded the budgetary provisions made under the development budget for projects to improve subpar school buildings in Malaysia, especially Sabah and Sarawak.

“In light of this, Works Ministry is committed to assisting MoE in this matter if needed.

“Indeed, the implementation of upgrading poor buildings in schools is a critical agenda and should be given priority so that the safety of children at school is always guaranteed,” he said in a Facebook post yesterday (March 2).

Earlier, Nanta who is also Kapit Member of Parliament was briefed on Budget 2023 allocation given to the MoE.
