Miri Hospital gets iPads to expedite procedures

The handover of six iPads to Miri Hospital.

KUCHING: The Miri Hospital Visitors Board has been seeking funds to purchase 10 iPads.

The devices will be used to administer medicine to patients as part of the Pharmacy Information System, which will expedite the procedure between clinicians and pharmacies, reducing paperwork, and enhancing patient safety.

Board chairman Karambir Singh expressed his gratitude to the generous contributions, and organisations who have contributed to the acquisition of the devices. The hospital has been able to get  five units so far.

Lions Host president Bryant Chin handed over the six iPads to hospital representative, Miri Hospital deputy director Dr Francis Heng.
